Question for New Order - Mag12 Impeller

Hi guys,

I'm needing to replace my Mag 12's impeller ... and you have one in stock right now ... but when I get to ordering it asks if I need a `12A' or `12B' ... and I have no idea which I need, nor can I find further info on it.

Can you enlighten me?

I'm wanting to replace it soon ... but of course don't want to have to re-replace it after ordering the wrong one.

What's the difference?

Thanks!

Mark

Hi Mark,

There should be a name plate on the back of the pump that says something like Model 12A or Model 12B on it. The 12A is the old style, it was a much larger foot print pump and the impeller is about 1/4" longer. The 12B is the newer style, came out couple years ago, it's much more compact in size.

If you can't find the cover plate, measure the length of it for us and we'll be able to figure out which one it is.

thanks

If I got it new about a month ago [stupid me broke the impeller when cleaning it the first time] ... then it should be the `12B' model?

Or should I still be wary and wait until tonight to order?

Thanks!

I would say it's B for sure, i'm thinking the model A is at least 3 years old, maybe more. So i would say about 99.9 percent change it's a B.

Sorry it broke on you, that's a bummer.

Yep, talk about feeling dumb ... but I'd rather have it break now than once my closed loop is all installed!

And rather have hardware break than livestock `break' :D

Thanks for the advice Jason, off I go to order!

Ok, seems you have the 12A in stock ... any idea when you're getting a 12B?

Signed up for the wait/notify list, just wondering when to plan for it ....
