Question for Users of Coralife 2x18W CF

I have a 2.5 A-G nano that needs a lighting upgrade and I would like to go to the Coralife Aqualight Deluxe 2x18W.

I notice that this is 7" wide which is wider than the (6") tank itself. I can also tell by pics that there is a portion of the fixture in the back (houses the ballast) that is not part of the "lit area".

I am trying to determine if I can get this fixture on my 2.5, have room for my AC20 hanging on the back and only light up the tank (not the filter). I will, of course, be using the leg stand kit.

One of my questions is: What are the dimensions of the "lighting" area of this fixture?

Does this make sense?

Thanks, I think that is going to be too wide for the 6" wide tank. The light will either hang over the front or be shining on the top of the AC20 and Versa-Top strip. I think I will be stuck with the 18"x1 version of this light or the Current USA Satelite.

Less light, but it will actually fit.
