I have a question I always wanted to know. People with these bigger tanks, such as like 170 and all the way up to 1000 gallon tanks, I was wondering how do they put there coral in? Like wouldn't you be soak cause you gotta reach all the way down on some? Just wondering

I have a 220 that is 24" deep, maybe 30", dont remember. The simple answer is yes, you do get a little wet. when you get over 30" it gets pretty bad.

There's one site that I've seen where the guy actually gets on a snorkel and swims around his tank to clean / place coral.

I didn't bookmark it but maybe someone else here has the site.

I have a AG 2x2x4ft, not large but when you get over 22" deep you are up to you arm pits, I have a hadicap "grabber" from Walgreens to reach down the the bottom. I wish it was only 20" deep but have to go with what is made, I wanted a 4ft wide tank and one that was 2ft front to back, down side was it was 2ft deep too.

that's a good question and something that everyone should consider beforehand..... (uh that wasn't me however :D)

I could just barely reach the bottom of my 2' cube. It sucked. I told myself never anything over 20" deep for me in the future.
I'll be da mn ed if I'm going to pull the engine just to change a spark plug :D

They need an arm measuring vs tank depth ergonomics selector chart for newbs and shortsighted chumlies like myself. :D
