hey...
so i'm finally getting my 20L in order after it sat for almost a year with just some LR. i've got some questions about the care of a few LPS i'm considering ordering. in the past i kept some euphyllia & candy cane, but that's about as far as i got with LPS before i went nuts with SPS.
my plan with this tank is to keep it simple. i'm looking to do lots of LPS, with some zoa's to fill in the gaps...maybe a monti or 2. i love SPS, but i'm not crazy about the idea of the work that's involved in keeping them in a nano. the problem is that my tank is probably best suited for them.
i have high flow, around 750gph, and a 70W DE MH over the tank. i'm not too worried about the light, it provides good light for this tank, but is in no way overpowering. my concern is the flow. is it too much? i bought a torch frag, and have found a pretty good spot for it where it's kind of tucked away in a lower flow area. but i'm concerned that the majority of the tank has too much water movement for LPS.
i was planning on getting a nice FS, which i have a decent spot for where it would be kind of protected from the flow. then i was looking into getting some acans, micros, enchinos, and chalice corals, but i am unfamiliar with their care requirements. can anyone fill me in? how would those corals do under strong lighting and heavy flow?
thanks
