Question on tank size

I am new to saltwater tanks but I am curently doing a LOT of research on them and I will start off with a 12 gallon nano. What type of tank enviroments are recommended for mantis shrimp? Also is a 12 gallon big enough? If not what is recommended?

Well after doing a lot more reading in these forums it seems like certain types may not fit, such as the peacock. Can anyone recommend some species which will be fine in a 12g?

PRetty much any of the smaller Gonodactylids (Smithii, PLatysoma, etc), the N. Wennerae is rather easy to get and would work well also...
