Recently purchased a 70/75g setup from a fellow RC member. Its a Oceanic RR and includes a sump. This will be my first time setting up a RR and sump. On my 20g I have a HOB refugium.
I'd like to set this tank up using the sump as a refugium. Don't know if I should scrap this one and make my own or use this one for now. My plan for the tank is a mixed reef with sofies and try to get into some SPS and LPS. I would like to avoid have a need for a chiller if possible. So I am looking at using a 6 or 8 bulb t5 fixture.
If anyone is selling a similar fixture T5HO or singe metal halide w/T5d i might be interested. I am also looking for a return pump.
The original owner gave me some bulkheads for the overflo, however one of the bulkheads is missing the rubber gasket/seal. Can these be purchased without buying a whole new bulkhead?
As far as the return pump, anyone have suggestions? Should I go submersible or external pump?
