Ok if I purify my water and then mix it with salt, how long can I have it sitting around before I put it in my tank. I want to make a large amount so that I don't have to keep doing it over and over again. So when I do water changes I can just take a little bit out and use it.

As long as it is covered and you have a powerhead in there, would think you could leave it for several months (( if not longer )).
