I have this rather large millie colony, and it has two red/orange-ish colored acro-crabs, and i started noticing that some of the polyps are disappearing, the coral is practically hairless so to speak, there's only PE at the tips and a little bit below that, So my question is, could it be that these crabs (smooth) are eating the polyps? It kind of goes against the idea that smooth crabs are good...I don't know.

Ca - 420
pH - 8.1-3
Alk - 7-8dKH

I've noticed the same in my green milli colony. Interested to see what peoples response is. Rather mine I do not think are eating them, but crawling all over the branches and keeping the polyps closed.

thats true, they are about the size a nickle so that could be why also, the smaller acro bandit crabs i have dont affect PE. interesting..
