Question

I just upgraded my drivers from the MP40w to the Eco Smart. I have 4 in my 180 gallon 6x2x2 glass tank with 3/4" glass. I am playing with settings via my Apex and it is running in Nutrient mode now and I plan to run that mode for one hour a day after feeding time. My question is there is a warning in the online manual about making waves in a tank could cause failure. Is this really an issue I should be concerned about?

it could be, depends on the tank. as water moves back and forth it adds extra stress on the tank, possibly breaking the seal or id imagine if the waves are strong enough it could come off the stand. i wouldn't worry about it in a 6' 180 tho

Thanks. I am going to skip it. After 15 minutes 3 of the pumps stalled with red and green light flashing so I guess pumps got out of alignment. Changed modes and restarted and are working fine now. I have plenty of other profile modes set up in Apex to give me plenty of random flow.
