questions about BB

im setting up a 220g bare bottom and i was wondering can a BB tank still get cyano?
will cyano just grow on the glass? can hair algae grow on the bottom glass too??

and what about PH? will it be hard to keep a higher ph with no substrate to buffer the water??
im only planning on doing monthy instead of weekly water changes, im afraid the ph will drop

yes you can get all ailments while going BB. The positive is more flow,less spots for stuff to build up so less nutrients for those things to grow.
