Im curious what LED fixture you're using. Taking the optics off removes a UV block from the LED and allows it to pass through without being hindered. The extra UV should increase your color pigmentation as the Zooxanthellae put on their sunscreen.
Dosing minerals 'especially' Red Sea snake oil is not necessary. Dosing iron is a sure way to pick up a green hair algae problem too. Your essential minerals will be re-upped when you change out your water. Calcifying corals need strontium, cadium to 'help' with structure growth, but so far there is no evidence that Zooxanthellae uptake rare earth metals. There is evidence they take up amino acids from the host coral. Microbiata (pathogens within the coral's mucus) take up phosphorous and iron and help produce antibodies. They're not responsible for UV shielding though.
