Questions to make aquapod better

Getting a 24g aquapod tomorrow. Never seen it before. What are your ideas of the best filtration? Carbon? Blue/white filter sheets. Sponges. Never had a nano before. Is getting a nano skimmer worth it?

Come over tomorrow I'll show you mine.

I run gfo/carbon together in a rack I made out of egg crate for the overflow.

I blocked the right part of the back wall with a sheet of plexiglass which allows me to adjust the water volume in the display/back chamber.

Also cut a hole in my lid to put in a 2" fan. These things get hot, even with LEDs. Does the one you're getting from installman have a lid?

Even with no lid mine is still sitting at 80° lol

I would be happy 2 give you some ideas. Let me know what your stock plans are and if your going to keep the top on or not. I have had several of these over the years. I made my last 3 rimless and loved the look.

It's for my girlfriend so I think she's gonna change her mind around a few times before she really knows. She says she wants a couple clownfish and maybe a yellow tang but it'll have to be tiny lol. She will probably get a couple small fish cleaner shrimp and some softies/Lps. Nothing fancy but I'd like to keep the lid.

I took the lid off because I got bored and hung a d120 over it... water evaporates like crazy now, and my biggest concern is dog hair... MrHarvard, so you have pics of the rimless? Ours is just set up as a mushroom and anemone garden right now, I got lucky and it came with a media basket, so far it's been running really stable and clean, just need to get something better for cleaning the glass
