Tried to get ahold of you today but is seems Rob has some technical trouble with the phone.......

Anyway here we go. These are in regards to the Schuran 200 skimmer.

1) Are they in stock, when can one be shipped out to me?

2) Are these equiped with any easy way to hook up O3 or would I just run it along with the air intake?

3) I am assuming they require no other pump than what is supplied?

4) Just to clarify, they can be ran externaly or in-sump?

5) Have you personaly ran them / how would you rate their performance?

This has become a choice between the Schuran and the H&S skimmers. The ONLY reason I don't own the H&S is because you guys don't carry them, and I feel a bit of loyalty to your shop. If the Schuran is comprable in quality I would buy it.

Hi Chris,

Sorry you couldn't get through today. I can answer a few of these.

#1. Yes, in stock, order by 2pm Indiana time and we'll ship same day for you.

#2. I need to double check on o3. Might take a while to hear back from Schuran. I've ran o3 on some 03 safe skimmers before and was really hard on the fittings. So i'm not sure running 03 into any skimmer is a good idea. I melted one of the fittings on our big HSA 3000 at the shop, i might of injected too much though, it's on the big rock system that gets pretty smelly.

#3/4. No other pump needed, the Eheim is included. Can run the skimmer external if you want, just need to be close enough to get the eheim submersed.

#5. We have one running on the main coral system and it's performed pretty well, but that system is pretty big. So not really a fair comparision. Have not ran it on a normal sized tank.

Quality wise, Schuran is top notch, almost overboard. There acrylic is really thick, heavy duty, you can tell it's German made for sure. I think it's a good skimmer, but i'm not sure I would consider it better then EuroReef on skimming power and H&S and Euro are similar, H&S i've heard is even more efficient (never used one of those). So I hate to say it's as good.

If you are interested in a used one, we could sell the one we have in the coral system, we have a big skimmer on that system already, we just through it in there to check it out. It's been in there 6 months though, probably needs a really good cleaning. Email me sales@premiumaquatics.com if you want to try that one, even give you return option on it.

You've got mail. If the Schuran doesn't work out maybe I'll look into one of the Recirc. models for ER. You probably noticed that I burn my way through a bit of equipment with you guys, I'm settled on lighting, now I'm looking at skimming for the first time in 10 years.

Hi,

We have an email wait list online. You just click on the product, then click on wait list and enter your email. It doesn't guarantee you get one, it will just email when it comes in and then it's first come on buying them. We have a really big shipment coming in though, so I think we'll have enough. We just can't change to a preorder now because we have people that signed up on that wait list all the back to January, so wouldn't be fair to them.
