What kinda of dosing should I do with this product? it says

FOR MARINE FISH: Add 1 drop per gallon daily in a bare aquarium. Replace carbon 24 hours after last treatment. Maximum dosage: 3 daily treatments.

So should i do a full dose 3 times a day?
 
I wouldn't use it at all. I believe the ingredients in this stuff are Mal. green and formalin. fish cannot tolerate these meds long enough for more than a temporary fix. Please read the stickies at the top of this forum section. The only ways to cure ich are copper, tank-transfer, and (maybe) hypo. A couple of the quinine drugs may work too; but I don't know enough about them to recommend them.
 
what are you treating for? quick cure is the best treatment for freshwater ich, but is not effective against cryptocaryon irritans (saltwater ich). The only saltwater disease I can think of that quick cure might possibly have an effect is brooklynella, since quick cure contains formalin.

Yeah, its a good substitute for Formalin in areas where formalin is hard/impossible to buy

Assuming all of your fish are in a HT/QT with no rock, substrate, etc; you should start the copper first. There are a few good brands of copper and all require the proper Cu test kit. I prefer Cupramine copper and a Seachem or Salifert Cu test kit. If you've dosed the formaldehyde product; I'd run carbon for a couple days first; if the fish aren't in real stress. Your DT has to remain fishless for 8-9 weeks; so you'll have plenty of time to dose the PP. After this is over; if you use a good QT regimen on all new fish, you'll (probably, CMA) never go through this again. Here's some good poop on Cupramine, the FAQ will give you lots of info. SeaChem (Mfg. of Cupramine) has great tech-support too. 1-888-seachem (I think). I'd also read the ich stickies at the top of the disease forum; knowledge of the ich life-cycle is really vital info and will help you make sense of the treatment protocol. .........http://www.seachem.com/Products/product_pages/Cupramine.html
 
Is it possible that that a strain of Crypt. may become resistant to Cupramine? I've always used it and its always done a great job. This last out break though seems to be giving the Cupramine a run for its money. I've been using Cupramine for the last 10 years to treat ich and the symptoms dissapear anywere from 2- 5 days as far as seeing the the white dots on the fish. Which means the parasite has fallen off the fish to lay eggs and then hatch and start all over. Then when they hatch and are free swiming. This is when the are destroyed. I've shown 3 diff life cycles on my fish in the last month . My copper levels have been 0.50. Has anyone had this issue like this before? I collect alot of fish and QT everything for at least a month before adding them to the display and always treat with Cupramine and Prazzi. This has always worked for me in the past. Do you guys think the ich are getting immune? I don't want to increase the copper level because I have eels that always stop eatting during treatment. One of them being a Brazillian Banana eel. Thanks for any input on this.

This is an excellent question. I'd start your own thread with it, it just won't get the attention it deserves at the tail end of an existing thread.
