So, I got a powder blue tang at the beginning of November. He arrived at my house on November 6. I put him directly in the quarantine tank. I know that tangs are susceptible to ich. So, about November 10 he started to show signs of it. By November 14th I had the SG down to 1.010 (tested with my calibrated refractometer), and the Hypo treatement started.
I water change often and keep all levels good.
December 1st, the ich reappeared. It was gone by the 3rd. I was kind of expecting it, so I'm not surprised by that at all.
So, my question is, how long should I leave him in quarantine for? I was originally going to leave him in the QT for 5 weeks from the day hypo was started. That would be today. Should I wait 4 weeks after I saw the ich reappear (the option I'm leaning towards)? Or, should I wait some other amount of time?
