Quick question about Erectus tank size

The smaller species, such as H zosterae can be kept in a 10G but any species larger than them will require a much larger tank.

Also , seahorses are very social animals, so at least two would be preferable to keeping one alone.

I had 3 in a 29 gallon, 2 were unhealthy and sadly died after 3 motnhs, my current one is doing great, but I'm not going to be able to get horses for about 4 months and would prefer to downsize. I finally convinced my parents to let me get a 15 high for it and some dwarves as I figured that would help with the socializing. It's a northern erectus btw so it's quite a bit smaller than the southern ones.

Trying to mix H erectus and H zosterae would be a big mistake.

Both of these species need tanks dedicated to only them.

The keeping requirements are differant , not to mention the vast differance in size. There is also a very serious concern with disease that your little zosterae will be unable to cope with.

I have experience with both species and I would urge you , for the good of the horses, not to mix them.

Yes please for the good of the horses, not to mix them. You could try pipefish or just get another seahorse.
