a few question questions:

1. the pipe on the top right, with the ball valve - is that supposed to be the input?

2. if that's the case, then the pipe on the left is the output. it has a T in it, and both the side and top are open. should i have a pipe extending the side of the T into the return chamber and cap the top? leave the top open? cap the side? what do i do here?

thanks.

The pipe with the valve is for the skimmer feed. The tee is your output and you want the top to remain open. Just extend the output on the side with a piece of pipe to return skimmed water to your sump.

1. Yes, that's the input
2. Put some pipe in the side of the tee going back into the sump. Leave the top open, it help with pressure/bubbles.

The top part on the left is the vent you want that open The T is where the return for the sump goes. You are going to like the recirculating skimmer good luck with the plumbing
