quiet one 3000 pump

if you divide the flow a bit it should be ok, a single nozzle might be a bit much (although I run a QO6000 on a single in my column tank) I have 32" of depth to adsorb the flow, in your 29, the velocity might be a bit high

I used the 4000 as a closed loop pump on my 75. I'm very pleased. I use a 3000 to drive my skimmer, also quite pleased.

My sqwd lasted less than 2 months, is now a retired piece of plastic in the corner of my tank junk area :) Maybe the 600 was more than it could handle?

I used a "QuietOne" 1200 pump and it was anything but quiet. That was the noisiest pump I have ever heard. I took it out because it was too loud and replaced it with a magdrive within a week of use. Most people I've talked to don't like the QuietOne pumps.

i have that exact setup. qiet1 3000 on a scwd. on my 30g oceanic cube.

the pump is LOUD. it has a loud rattling sound. i have to keep plugging it in and out till it has the least amount of raddle.

a or3500 is currently on my shelf for replacement. i never installed a valve or break in the plumbing, so i have been putting off doing it.

Well for a 29 that would generate a good bit of current that you would have to distribute (17x). Have you thought about using the new stream pumps such as Tunze Nano Stream or Hydor Koralia? I havn't used them personally but I have heard they work very well. You may get much better bang for the buck with these, though they may be to bulky for a 29. I plan on using them for my next aquarium.
