Rabbit Fish

I have a Scribbled line rabbit fish that is looking for a new home. I bought it a few years back after I purchased an SPS piece with some calupra on it. The stuff spread through my tank like wild fire, I removed and scrubbed rocks, finally picked up this rabbit fish and it was amazing how it completely eliminated it. It will readily accept hair algae also. I can send a photo if anyone is interested, it is about 5" long and an algae eating machine. It will eat flake food or nori on a clip as well, pretty much anything you throw in. They are not agressive toward other fish and are venomous so fish normally do not mess with them so much - unless perhaps you have a single tang in an established tank.

This one was with a purple tang, powder brown and hippo tang.

I may try to get up that way on Sunday, all depends on the weather. I HAVE to pick up another heater for my big tank. I have a single 400 watt and it can't keep up. If anyone has an extra let me know.

BTW, how large do these guys get?

I wonder if they normally reach that in captivity? I thought about adding a Rabbit but I don't want anything near that large for my 4' tank. I'm thinking 6-8" max.

Matt and Bruce both had "Joey" I think his name was in 90g SPS tanks.
Jim has had them in his tanks too with no problems.

I had not been on in a couple of days, opened PM before looking at the post. I had one from the 29th that I just responded to - although the first post was also the 29th. Did not look at a time stamp or anything (not sure of the proper protocol in these situations). I offered up a meeting if it does not happen - Carb I will PM you for sure. Did not intend to cause an issue, sorry.

Thats hilarious that you remember his name Amy. I even forgot till you mentioned it! My experience is that they do fine in a 90 gallon tank. They are very cool fish.
