I received a Scribbled Rabbitfish from an online vendor about a week ago, and I think he has flukes. He arrived with cloudy eyes, was breathing very heavy (heavier than what would of been expected from stress), had very poor color, and once introduced to the tank was twitching. After a few days he was eating great, but still had the same symptoms he arrived with. His eyes seemed to be getting worse though. Due to his symptoms, I figured he had flukes and planned to treat with PraziPro as soon as the other fish in the tank were eating.
On Tuesday, I did a 20% waterchange on the temporary tank and dosed PraziPro at 5mL per 20g. I also added an airstone to help with any oxygen depletion from the medication. I noticed when the lights came on Wednesday that the Rabbitfish had cloudy white patches on his pectoral fins. Could these just be dead/dying flukes or is it something else?
He also is not eating near as well as he was, and there have been no visible changes in his eyes yet, but he seems to not be as neurotic swimming around the tank and he seems to be breathing a little better along with having not so dark coloration. The white patches are worrying me though.
