Radion Clearance?

Is there a recommended amount of clearance that should be between the top of a Radion Pro G2 and the top of a canopy?

The fan blows air up and out the sides, so it doesn't seem like any great amount of space is needed.

I'm planning on leaving about 1" of space between my canopy and the light, with some custom stainless steel brackets I'll be making.

Steve,

I would recommend leaving at least an inch to allow for proper cooling. That said, you will want to disable the buttons on your Radion if you have them so close to a hard surface.

I won't be using the buttons on the unit, I'll hook it to my laptop to control it.

I made my brackets today, 1" above the fixture is what I left for space.

Should give me about 9" from water to the light.

FWIW, this is how I setup my radions in my canopy and its working great. Had some 1" square solid acrylic cut to keep my radions 1" from flush. As they suggested, I disabled my buttons.
