Radion G3 Pro Install Help

Hello,

I just purchased 2 Radion XR30w Pros for my reef tank. Any advise on installation would be greatly appreciated. My tank is an 80 gallon rimless (48"x24"x16"), and I mostly have SPS. Here are my questions.

At what height above the water level would you recommend hanging the lights?

At what intensity would you start out?

How many hours a day would you run the lights for?

And is there a graph out there that you would recommend for SPS?

Thank you in advance for any help.

I have 3 radions that are also gen 3 pros. Tank is similar size it's 48x24x18 so it's a 90 gallon. I'm going sps dominant as well. Was three overkill? Have not set it up yet I'm waiting patiently for their new mounting hardware.

8-10 inches is what you want to do. Anything less than that and you run the risk of them being covered in salt after a couple months.

I would do an acclimation setting and end up around 65-75 of max over 4-5 weeks. Don't go crazy with UV (less than 10%), and green/red.

Just remember if you are going from another type of lighting your corals will need to adjust and you may have some losses even if you try to mitigate it. Mine browned a tad and then received 3-4 weeks later.

Good luck.
