Radion Gen 3 pro running hot

Hi I have had a radion gen3 in my closet for almost a 1 year I was waiting until I got my other gen3 and new tank that's today got the lights both up and running. The new one is running very cool and not as hot as the other one, the old one the light itself is hot to the touch but the other light is not, the box is hot too the little light on top of the old light is also flashing , the buttons on top those lights are flashing blue and white my thought is it just may need some type of update. Any ideas? Thanks

Check firmware:

Brett,

To update your Radion's firmware, please sign into ESL using Google Chrome. From there, selecct the "Devices" tab then the "Gear" icon next to each light. Finally, select the 'Firmware Update" option.

Also, I read another post by Alex that a flashing light of a certain color can mean a hardware issue. I think I'd check the firmware. If not up to date, update it and see if that works. If it's up to date, reach out to EcoTech.

Call EcoTech thats not normal might be hardware issue. Is fan working properly?

yea fan is working i figured out what it was 1 year ago i programed it but i have not link it to reef link or anything yet i think when i pressed the button it did not want to follow that program i unhooked it and plugged it back in and its running fine on its orginal light program. i guest i need to make sure to reprogram it when i get my reeflink back up and running.
