Radion Gen3 question

Hello all,

I have 2 radion G3's over my 90 right now. In my tank I have all base rock so it is pretty white for now with not much algae coloration covering it yet. I have the lights mounted about 9.5" off the water which is just over the recommended height pert installation manual. My question is about the color blending. I can very easily see all of the different colors being sent into my tank. It doesn't look very natural at all.

What can I do about this? Will it get better as my rock takes on more color and wont be such a bright white anymore? My sand looks the same way and I don't think that's ever going to turn a different color. Should I raise them up further to help with the blending?

Please give me some ideas because I'm not very satisfied for the amount of money I just dropped on these.

i would try bringing them up a bit to let the color spread and blend a little better, ive got my gen 2's about 15" off my tank and only run them at 45% max, to answer your ? yes when the rock gets more color to it it wont be as noticable

What program are you using?

I have 4 Radions on 2 different tanks and have never seen what you are experiencing.

I like the radiant program, which I do modify a little.

I was running one of the default programs but now I'm running a custom one posted by "ecotech marine service" in the "show me your graphs" thread. It's looked the same on both

The first thing that comes to mind is all the white bare rock and sand is just reflecting the led colored light.
I saw what you are experiencing on a friends diy led setup, but when he did his, the leds were 2' apart.
Like I said in my first post, I have 2 tanks with Radions and I don't see this at all.
Wonder if the wide angle lens kit would help?
