Rainbow and Green BTAs crawl under LR

So I bout a Rainbow and Green BTA for my tank and both nems head under live rock after a few hours of them being in the tank.

Is it possible the lighting could be too intense for the nems or is it more likely to be flow?

If I lower intensity on the Kessils is it likely they would come out into the light with reduced intensity?

Mine unfortunately did the same thing right after I put it in. Yours still looks pretty healthy. Mine has been in hiding for about 3 weeks now.

Normal for BTA's to hide in the rocks when new. Give them a week or so. Also they look good, so maybe just using the shade to acclimate to your Kessils.

These guys are looking great...now if I could only get them to come out from the side and into the front of the tank.

They will go (or stay) where they want.... just be happy they are not floating around getting into powerheads...

Mine move around a bit too. They have split twice in the last year and go where they please. I run a Kessil A360WE on my 29gallon. Keep my light around the 14000k spectrum, more blue than the whites. I have all softies and start at 15% intensity and ramp up to 100% for 4 hours or so, then back down. All but my acans are great.https://vimeo.com/163297135

I have 5 rainbows about 5 inches away under my power head and they just stay put. they have never moved from their spots and have had 3 splits also and they are getting nice and big. I only have 1 that cant make up its mind and like to move once a week but always ends up right tin the same spot. I also have a 6th one on the other side of the tank again about 5iches away and below the power head and its just stay put also and growing. it has doubled in size in the last 2 months. for some crazy reason I cant keep other corals alive but my nems sure love my tank

Wow timnem!!! You ramp up to 100% intensity using a 360 on a 29? How long did it take you to get to that point and do your nems and softies do well under that intensity?

I was thinking I would max out at 60% with the two 360s I have on mine. What is color %? I am finding leathers and rest seem to like it at 45% on spectrum.
