Hey guys I posted in the reef chem form but didnt get much response because I had thought my iodine was messing things up.
I have a red sea max 250 w/2 vortex 10 and 40 facing opposite of eachother. Flow is good and tuned to moderate.
Pars are in check / supp 2 part brs.
cal 430
alk 9.0
mag 1350
Sal: 1.25-26
lighting
3 ati actinic
2 12000k aquablue special
1 aquablue plus.
Prob is everyone every other coral has great color. I have 4 other montis
with full color and polyup extention.
I have a orange red monti that has just a bit of discoloration (fading) but has been that way for quite sometime now.
The picture attached is whats driving me nuts :lolspin: Obviously you all know what a rainbow monti is and what it looks like and this bad boy is faded with no polyup extention... its not brown polyups are green but they are turtle headin so somethings wrong. when I got it is was good for 2 weeks then started to fade. I supplement with amino (red sea 2 part)
Thank you in advance for the input and looking forward to your responses. I hope I can fix it before it possible dies.
