rainbow stylo ?

We were cleaning the prop tank this evening and moving frags around to make space for a frag swap tomorrow and came across this frag hiding behind a larger, taller, one. It has been a slow grower that was orignally sold to us as a yellow stylo. It has more or less kept the yellow base but the polyps are now multi-colored. The picture doesn't really show it well, especially since the poyps are lightly colored (but definitely discernable colors). We could make out blue, pink, green and yellow colored polyps. The lighting is 10K 250W w/ no other supplementation. We were wondering if this was common or if anyone else had seen similar colorations. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Here is the best we could manage for pictures :

I have a colony that is similar, not sure if it is a stylo or a poccilliopora, but it is a rainbow colored.

I have a porci that is similar, but with not as pronounced or various colors as this one. I am pretty sure this one is a stylo (but I could be wrong). Thanks for letting me know that there are others out there and that I am not hallucinating with the colors :)

IME that stylo is sort of in between colors. I have a frag that originally looked like yours but it colored up to a reddish w/blue/white polyps. In the past I had a wild colony that was that color and it also changed to a reddish/pink color.

this is what my frag looks like now

The base has been the yellow color that you see now ever since we bought it the middle to end of last year. And it was sold to use as a "yellow stylo", so I don't think it will change it's base color, but I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time :)).

BTW, your stylo is stunning... very nice coloration indeed :)
