AWESOME GAME DAY OPENER had the fortune to be there alot of denver fans it was almost like the bears showed up but they did not have much to say at the end (feild goal day opener):smokin:

Defense looked awsome:dance: Bulger's ability to complete inside the red zone:thumbdown can we get Warner back:D

yeah...Warner = 301 yards, 3 touchdowns, 114.8 QB rating

Bulger = 217 yards, 0 touchdowns, 72.8 QB rating

And while I thought the defense looked pretty good, it's a bit scary that they still managed to run for a total of 161 yards against us with the two Bell backs averaging 6.9 and 5.8 yards per carry for each of them. :eek2:

It's a good thing we have a kicker.

I don't think you can judge the defense on how they performed at this point. The Broncos were pretty abysmal too. And that offense? Oi they give me such a headache...

I think it was pretty bad overall, and they were lucky to come away with a "W."

We will have to see how the next games go.. I really thought we would have lost against Denver so maybe we just looked bad, because we were playing such a good team. I was shocked that we could walk the ball down the field but could not do anything in the red zone.

Three things I noticed.

1. Convert in the red zone!
2. WAY too many penalties. And not just little penalties, but long penalties.
3. Don't give up the big running play. I think they gave up three 20+ yard runs.

Otherwise it was fun to watch. The offense moved good until the red zone, the defense was fun to watch with all of the blitzing. Good to see Leonard Little actually do something! And Will Witherspoon is going to make it to the Pro Bowl again.

Remember it was the first game of the season. Offense will sputter, as their timing becomes more in-sync, that will improve.

The penalties should lessen as the season goes on. I'd rather see them take some big ones early in the season, and possibly protect their QB from getting smashed than lose him to a Linebacker getting an unimpeaded shot at him.

The Broncos always have good running schemes, but the defense does need to crack down on giving up the huge gains. COuld there have been that many mis-reads?

Yeah, I was there, too - it was a great game to see, thanks to the defense. We had a blast - but the offense was extremely frustrating. 18 points without a single touchdown.

I was surprised by so many Denver fans - we had a couple of them in front of us that added to the entertainment. At the beginning they were talking all kinds of smack, so it was nice to see them get shut up by the repeated turnovers. One guy was cussing about spending $100 on a ticket, plus more on beer and parking, and watching the Broncos lose. Mwa ha ha ha. :lol:

Under Martz and Warner the Redzone was a problem. Its just that most of our scores would come from 30-40 yards out.

Defense looked great, maybe Denver's offensed looked bad, because the rams defense was pretty good. They bent but did not break. If they can fix the red zone issue I am starting to feel good about this season. Rams played a tough team and won, Cardnials played the 49ers and they scored all over the Cardnials. Seahawks played Detroit and won in the last few seconds with their third score of the game (the third field goal. If this is an indication of how the season goes we could win our division. But alas, it is only the first game.

I'm not completely ready to jump on the bandwagon just yet... As Shooter stated they did give up 161 yds. on the ground and Plummer does stink it up at times and will make a defense look better than they really are. I was more impressed with the Ravens....What a spanking...
