Randalls pistol shrimp

What would be a good goby to pair with a Randalls Pistol Shrimp. They would be the only stock in a BC 14. The shrimp is somewhere in the tank. I was supposed to get a Randalls Prawn Goby but my LFS has been unable to get one from his vendor for the past 6 weeks. Will a yellow watchman's Goby or a or a Wheelers pair up?

Either one of those would work, in the 14g they will find each other eventually.

I'm still waiting for my Randall to find the pistol & he's been in there for about a month. I know he's still in there because I hear the clicking.

Thanks Michele. I stopped by the store after posting and they are going to try another vendor. I really wanted the Randall for my Randall Shrimp but if it doesn't work out I'm going to go with the Wheelers. They said check back next week.

I love my Randall goby. Very personable & holds his own. I fed clam one time & the tiger pistol I had at the time started popping at him so he pushed an empty snail shell on the shrimp to make it go away for a while lol.

I wouldn't suggest a watchman. Watchman gobies get fairly large (for gobies) and a Randall's pistol is tiny. A Wheeler's goby is fairly small and would be good.
My suggestion would be this:
Introduce the shrimp first. Dig out a small cavity under a rock, in a location where you can easily see it. Place some small shells and pebbles around the cavity, then put the shrimp directly into it. You can hold the shrimp in your hand- a Randall's is too small to hurt if it shoots you. After shrimpy has been digging for a bit, add the goby and put him directly in the tunnel.

Thanks. I will hang for another week for the Randall and go for the Wheeler if I have to pick a replacement.
