I have a source for some CaCl, pellets that are I think 94%. I have been using them for the last several weeks with good results. If you would like to try some let me know. They seem pretty pure but I couldn't find a link to them. I did find that they were made by Dow and repackaged.

Angela, how much of that DOW flake do you still have left? I still have a five gallon bucket full.

I have a 5 gallon bucket FULL and ended up throwing away about 1/4 of a bag! My tank doesn't use much at all but it is softy dominent. 50 lbs goes a long way for sure. Thanks APfish but I just needed the directions for quanities and bake time for the soda. I have read that dow makes it, packes it, under differant names. I think the dow is only 90something % pure also.

Oh there is a guy on ebay who sells liquid calcium mixed from "lab grade" calcium..... Probably just dowflake and water :lol: Talk about a profit, a bag would make a super bunch of 16 oz bottles!

John. like everyone else I have started with a fifty pound bag and am dosing at such a small rate that I think I could handle supplying all the RC's of the south with the quantities I have. LMK
