RBTA under par30s?

I was told BTAs in general do not need as much light than others. I just ordered the par30 LED lights for my 8 gallon nano the other day, will these be suitable for an RBTA? I am planning on putting a true perc in there with it.

I've had them under par30 and 38, do great off to the sides actually. As long as you got the right bulb, don't underestimate their power.

Yeah, i heard they can grow SPS so it must be pretty powerful. I'll probably end up doing 6 hours of light a day instead of 8 if my stuff is getting burned. It's only an 8 gallon.

I run mine 10-12 hours no problem, its all about optics and hanging height. I have a evolve8 tank (basically a 12" cube) and i have ledtrics full spectrum par38 with 90degree optics about 20" from the bottom of the tank (5-6" above the tank) and all is good. The strongest light would be in the center and a bit lower in intensity off to the sides. I'm keeping a sps mini colony right in the middle and acans, rics, and zoas along the bottom and sides.
The rbta seem to also like the light towards the mid range intencity of the tank.
