oh never mind I see it's on a square plug....i thought it was just encrusted on the bottom

I have never seen yellow in a red planet. There is another coral that is red and yellow and has very similar coralites and polyps to the red planet. Maybe it is just me. Here is mine got it on a ORA plug.

wow what is up with photobucket? It is coming up as moblie photobucket and is laid out all different.

I don't think it's yellow....just over exposure from in the camera from the lighting

+1 overexposure.

100% certain that it is a redplanet. By the way allsps40, I think you should pull your RP a little UP so it will be a little more RED !!

Red planet is in no way "red", it's dark pink, or rose if you will. There are no actual red acros that I have even seen a pic of. Same thing with "red dragon" that is not red either.

That is a nice piece. I like the look of red planet lower in the tank so it keeps it's green skin, up high it just looks like a rose colored hyacinthus, still pretty though.

Roberto, that's not red :)

But that's the right color, it's a dark pink or rose, that's what mine looks like. I think the OP's is just a bad pic

my red planet was a deep red with alittle green at the base until it stn'd and i had to chop it up now its the frags are starting to get color back into them.

It is at the top of my rock under a 250w MH. Pics is not very good, it is more red in person but it has lost a little of its green since I placed it there. It is growing nicely though.

I have a RP frag I bought a few months ago, when I mounted it, a big chip of the bottom came off, it was sort of bare, with a few polyps. I shrugged and glued that piece about a cm to the side of the frag, about midway down, in good strong flow.

the "chip" has actually a nice green hue, but is not growing fast, while the frag has encrusted and has started to overgrow the chip, but the frag really has no green yet. I wish I would have glued the chip somewhere else!

that being said, it's a deep pink, but not a true "red", same color as Roberto's above.
