Re seal aquarium

I'm currently building a 75 gallon system my first saltwater setup. I picked up a used tank it's leak free but I've been trying to decide whether I should redo the Silicon seals inside. How often is it recommended someone do this even if it isn't leaking? It doesn't seem hard to do so I'm leaning towards just re sealing it but I also don't want to do something that isn't necessary especially since it doesn't leak at all. The person I bought it from had it dry for 8 months before I got it not sure if that would affect the Silicon either

Re seal aquarium

It shouldn't need to be resealed under normal care. Was it left out in the sun? Ive heard this can be an issue if left out for a long time.
