Ive recently cycled my new 50 gallon tank (15 gallon sump). I have about 65lbs of live rock 50lbs recently cycled and 15lbs from my 4 month old nano. Today ive put in 3 of my 4 existing fish. 2 clowns and a 2" yellow tang. Ive yet to move my false gamma about 10lbs of rock 2 cleaner shrimp and my green bubble tipped anemone . He is firmly attached to a large piece of rock . I was going to wait another week and then , As long as water parameters are still good , Move him and the rest.

1 will I be able to keep him healthy in a new tank
2 should I just lift him across to the new tank leaving him attached to said rock.Or does he need to be submersed at all times .

This is my first post but I have been lurking for 3 months.

This is my new tank before the move and after.

You shouldnt have a problem keeping him healthy in the new tank, just make sure the water parameters are the same in the new tank as they are in the one he is being kept in currently, or you will have to slowly acclimate him. I would go through the acclimation process anyway if it was me, personally.

If you are going to acclimate him just scoop him up along with the rock into a bucket and drip acclimate him. Why stress him out more than need be? he will probably end up moving around and finding a place he likes in the new tank anyway, so avoid the stress of pulling him off the rock if you can.

If you are totally going to skip acclimation (which imo you shouldnt) then still leave him and the rock submerged in water for as long as possible before you move him, you can pull him and his rock directly out of the water, but try to make this as quick as possible. again, the less stress, the better.

hope this helps
