when bathing pumps etc. use distilled or regular ? then i asume rinse in water and run pumps in water use tap or ro/di?

Yep, that's what I do

I use the Distilled White vinegar. And yes run the pumps in tap or RODI. Or just rinse them well until you are sure all vinegar is gone.

Any type of vinegar works, although you might want to avoid that $40 a bottle Italian designer balsamic

And you don't need to rinse them. The amount of acid introduced is minimal, and many reefers add vinegar to kalkwasser.

I do a 1:3 or 1:2 ratio of vinegar to RO water in a dedicated bucket, run the pumps overnight, scrub them the next day, rinse with RO, and return to the tank.
