Reactor, cycling

I started my cycle on Saturday and was wondering if it's alright to add my gfo-carbon reactor. I have 40lb reef saver DR, 15lb live cured totoka and have been adding mb7 as per lfs

It's not a problem to add them now.

I am also in the process of cycling my tank, 0 ammonia, some nitrite and nitrate, I just started my reactor with the carbon in it only, phosphates were zero so didn't see a reason to add the gfo yet.....

ya i'm lazy figured I get it in there while I had it open its the BRS mini video makes popping the top easy I feel like it's gonna break

if you have dry rock and new sand then I would recommend running GFO when you start the tank out to keep phosphate in check. carbon will clear out the cycle smell and clarify the water also!
