Ready but worried...

Ok.. here is my dilema. I am ready to make the big purchase of zoos but I am worried that once I buy these zoos my lighting isn't going to be good enough for them. I am running compacts at total of 260watts. I havn't had a problem with my GSP or my Buttons. And what I mean about good enough is maintain the brilliant colors. Are they just going to turn a dull green, dull red, or dull yellow. I am starting to sound redundant since i have asked several times. I need EXPERT advise. Please. Were talking about $200 dollars of beautiful colors to nothing but drabs..

You will be fine. I run only PC and dont have any problems.

Please don't worry. PC lights will make your zoas very happy. We all talk about T5s and MH because we're obsessed with the colors of the zoas and in most cases those are the lights that will bring out the best coloration in the zoas but I've seen some morphs that look better under PCs than they ever have under MH or T5 so it goes to show you that extra-strong lights aren't always what the animal prefers. Enjoy your zoas and keep up with the tank maintenance and they will reward you with good growth!

i'm only running 64 watts on a 24 Pod and my zoas are thriving. No worries.
