Real Reef "Coral Receded/Greying"

Curious - Does anyone know what this is / caused by etc

Noticed numerous times when swimming the reefs either on the back door out around the Island or outlying islands...

Its like the outline of corals, grey and bumpy but certainly not "live" not the physical coral...

Not sure... Outside my back door, I only have barkdust and plants. :bigeyes:

, though i consider this quiet serious, if coral is greying and leaving moulds in these numbers...

Ah its dead coral, so to say the least miles upon miles of coral is dead here then...
