Really cool Coraline algea

This is a super cool pic of a cluster of coraline algea that is shaped like a flower. Just thought it was worth sharing. Click on the link and scroll down abit.

I saw that thread last week and I thought it was really cool too. If I did not know better I would have thought it was a rimming Monti.

Yeh me too but it's not, we have some customers who have a tank of that stuff. It requires low Ks, their bulbs were going bad and after they changed them some of it is starting to bleach. The chip of it they brought in to me bleached out under too much lighting.

Wait a minute, wouldn't lower K lighing mean more PAR? But then with the loss of intensity- I guess it does mean less lighting. I still would like a shot at it, get some of it for me

Nice picture.

In my experience most corallines grow better under lower light conditions. One of those bigger isnt always better things....

The best coralline growth ive had was under strictly VHO's.

Yeh by lower I meant lower light level lower PAR higher K stupid late night post.
