i got an awesome deal at my LFS a couple weeks ago for these gorgeous crosshatches.the male is about 7-8 inches and the female is around 6-7 inches.now i need a bigger tank.lol.im thinking about ordering a 300 from glasscages because i love the 8' length and they would be so much happier in a bigger tank too.at least thats what i keep telling my girl friend when she wonders why i want to get something bigger.[violation].anyways heres some pics of them.the female is still a little hesitent on coming out.but the male eats like a pig.

I would keep the tank that you have at this point and save your money. If you are going to go 300 do some research first on different manufactors. I think the investment into a well made tank is worth it. Good luck. The fish are amazing.

ive thought about keeping the one i got but i just think they would look even better and be happier in a 300

dont go to glasscage...tons of horror stories and worst customer service ever! they will make up stories to make you look bad.

spend a little more and go somewhere else...its worth it

I have now seen several Glasscages tanks setup and running for over a few years now. They are good solid tanks. I have been to their facility to pick-up my buddies tank which was a 375. They are nice and we have never had a problem. I have purchased 1 tank and he has 2 with no problems. I would say that the caulk job has come a long way from what it was. They are nice tanks. Worth the money.

yea ive seen quite a few of their tanks and have installed a good number as well.only thing i could see was the silicone on some tanks was a little sloppy but as far as strength they look fine to me.i was quoted 4600 for a tank of similar dimensions with starfire and an external overflow.i cant justify that right now when a glasscages tank is 1400 with starfire on all sides.
