I have a MAG18 and a MAG12 that I have bought used so I do not know the actual life of these so I am wanting to rebuild what I can so I can get as much out of them as I can, does anyone have experience with rebuilding these pumps if so what parts do I need and where can I get them?

Thank you, Rich-

Mags are very durable. Open it up by removing the screws that secure the impeller cover and pulling out the impeller. If the vanes are not damaged just clean out the impeller receiver and clean the impeller. There is only one moving part that is in essence suspended by a magnetic field (hence no real parts in contact with one another).

Your good to go!

If you do need to replace your impeller parts are available on-line at one of the many supply houses or can be ordered through your LFS.

On Mag pumps- if you are going to use them submerged in a sump they will heat your water up.
