Recalibrating an in-line TDS meter..anyone done this?

Chris,

I have two of those on my rig and my understanding has always been that they cannot be "calibrated". I don't think there's a way to adjust them.

I've always found when I get wacky readings that pulling out the probes and rinsing them off real good with some water fixes is the issue.

If that doesn't work, I think the only thing you could do would be to get some known 0 TDS water from a friend, put it in a clean glass, bring it home and see how it measures in yours. At least you would know how off the meter is and mentally make that correction when you look at your meter.

Thanks Mike. I was unsure if I could recalibrate these. I'll try to calibrate off a friends, if not...another order from premium it is.

Hey, if you figure out how to calibrate them, you can make it so you never need new RO or DI membranes! You could even just use your tap if you callibrate it just right!

Chris

Seriously though if yo uneed to borrow a meter I have one right here as well.

TDS Calibration

TDS Calibration

Double,

You can calibrate those, There is a set of Potentiometers on the inside of the case in the back that allows the setpoints to be adjusted. I think It's a 600 PPM Calibration, but I don't recall. I have a bunch of those things in storage and I'll have to see If I can get a set of instructions tomorrow for ya...
