I recently acquired my CBB and initially put it in a QT. I am fortunate enough to already have a very healthy CBB and wanted another one for my other tank. One day after having it, I began noticing small white spots on this new fish and assumed it was Ich. I started gradually lowering the salinity for hyposalinity. The second day passed and I noticed that what I was seeing was most certainly not Ich. I started researching various diseases and viruses and realized that I was dealing with Lymphocystis. In the ten years of keeping marine fish, I have never dealt with this but have read about it. The great news is that this CBB eats very well. It eats mysis, squid, flakes, pellets, brine, & frozen angel and butterfly diet. I soak it's food in spirulina powder and selcon and it eats right out of my turkey baster. I feed it multiple times a day and do a daily water change. Hopefully, over the next couple of months this CBB kicks the lymph. All I can do is watch the water quality, keep the stress level low, and feed it a high quality diet. I guess I am lucky the fish eats the way it does. I will keep you posted in the next several weeks. Wish my butterfly and I luck!
