Recommended flow in a reef tank?

I am setting up a 265 gallon reef and would like to know the recommended turnover through the sump...and also the recommended flow in the display from closed loop/powerheads. I have read 5x display volume through sump per hour, but not sure. This will be a mixed reef, SPS and LPS.

5-10x through sump is good

40-50x in display is optimal.

The turnover rate in sump should be 6to 8 times per hour .The flow in the tank should be for sps 60 to 80 times per hour.my system is running 4 tunze 6100 for the flow & a blueline 100 at 2000 gals per hour through the sump which is closer to 8 to 10 turnover.The slower the turnover the more contact for the skimmer.

second question would be what pump would you use for a closed loop then to get that kind of flow? I do not want any powerheads inside the tank!

Something big like a Sequence,Dart,Baracuda,or Iwakii (with the Jap motor)
