recommended mantis for a 8gal

i am considering setting up an 8gal nano similar to that of ninjafish, and would like to keep my first mantis. can anyone recommend some species that would be sutable? i am leaning on a smasher but either would be fine but i do not really know much about care. all help appreciated. madok!

G. Smithii for sure....,they are very hard to find though. I know that the Smithii is one of Dr. Roy's favorite mantids!

I'm not quite sure on the rest....try searching, but maybe G. chiragra and N. Wannerea as well?

thnaks for the quick reply. hmm been trying to research into species but with so little info and almost no-one in the uk having ever willfully kept a mantis as apet ,its proving hard.
