Red coraline?

I have had problems w/ cyano-but I also have what looks to be red coraline too-not fuzzy and hard to touch. Is this poss?

ya i have some, it varies in color a bit. there is even green kind too i beleive

Yup. I think it's cool looking (as long as it doesn"t take over!).

I have some too. Very cool to have a few different kinds of coralline algae going on.

I have it all over the rocks in my tank that have been in the system the longest. You usually see this in well established tanks. I've had some other colors pop up from time to time like orange and yellow as well but they usually disappear after a couple of days....

i have a few spots of hot pink corraline lookes pretty coold when thrown in the the purple mix.

I have seen pink, purple, red, orange, and green corallines in previous more established tanks of mine.

I also know when coralline is exposed to bad conditions, such as fresh water... or overly cold water/air, it can become NEON pink before it bleaches.

I hope mine isnt bleaching, havent had any problems with air bubbles or temp. I notice new deep purple coralline growth every week but the 3 spots of hot pink are about 1 inch spots and they are in different areas of the tank and haven't changed in about 2 months? they are definitely not just ordinary pink they are fairly bright pink.
