Red Coris Wrasse question

I bought a red wrasse on 5/5 it was fine in the tank for the day and at night I watched it dig under some of the LR. It has been 3 days now and I haven't seen him again. Should I go in and remove my LR to find out where he is. According to web links, this is not uncommon for the fish to bury itself for a period of time. I just dont want him rotting under the LR. If he is dead do I need to ever worry about it.

Tank 80 gal, 65 lbs LR, 2 clowns, 1 soldier, 4 blue crabs. I took the water levels on 5/8 and Amonia-0, PH-8.2, NItrate-10, Nitrite-0.2

Personally, I wouldn't dig up anything. Disturbing your rock or sand can make quite a mess. If you aclimatized him, chances are he is just hiding because of the new environment. Give it a couple more days to see...
