That's great! I wonder if something like that would work on my 75G with the Halides and not hold heat. It gets awful warm bare topped. I may end up getting a chiller before it's all said and done.

Keep us updated on problems if any with your cover. I lost a very expensive Randall's Goby a couple of weeks ago. He went Carpet surfing. Really hurt me, He was beautiful.

Good DIY Nik, just keep it clean. Just a bit of salt crust can block alot of light.

I would say you could try using that egg crate stuff from HD or Lowes Reefneck. It's actually flourescent light diffuser I think? Whatever it is, it's just small pastic squares. I tried this and had a Diamond Goby jump through it and land on top of it.

So don't try it!! LOL Maybe it's just my bad luck. That was my 3rd attempt to try and keep a goby / jawfish.
