Red hadonni at two weeks and my new green gem!

I know what you're saying about the price being steep. But the shipping being only $30 makes it a tad bit easier to swallow. But not that much easier.:) I was seriously considering buying one. But since I never kept a gigantea before I don't want to take the chance of losing it. I decided to go with the yellow carpet from coral reef farm instead it's a lot cheaper to start with.

This will be my first gigantea also and putting up that much $$$ and not knowing what will happen makes me a nervous reefer!
What type is the yellow carpet you got, hadoni?

I'm pretty sure it's a gigantea. They also have a purpleish white one that is definitely a gigantea for $150.

That yellow looks very nice Jeff. Good luck with it, PM me with your results if you don't mind. I'm not sure what the purple one is, looks like gigantea but I've never seen one that is both white and purple. Maybe stressed?

I'm not sure if this is considered hijacking if the thread was dead for a couple of months. If so, sorry about this sonofgaladriel!

No problem on the hijack!:)
I ordered my red hadonni from coralreeffarms and they were fantastic! They spent two weeks emailing me updates on its condition and never once acted preturbed by my phone calls and questions. I highly recommend them!
They are supposed to be watching out for a nice blue carpet for me as well.
You should know though that the pics of the anemones you see in the 'anemone section' are stock pics. They are not the actual animal you will receive. And most likely, their 'yellow carpets' are actually bleached greens. Just so you know.
Their "Cream of the Crop" section is for the WYSIWYG stuff. Currently, they don't have any carpets listed there.

I would love another gigantea! Preferably a royal blue one. But, like you, I cringe at the thought of flushing another $75 to $100 down the toilet.

Yeah, it seems like a tough pill to swallow!
I thought you just got rid of your Red haddoni b/c of your angels, why are you looking to get another one now?

I'm looking for a really nice gigantea for a small 40 gallon cube tank I'm setting up in my living room, not the 240 cube. Gigantea are also less likely to eat fish when compared to a hadonni.

That's why I decided to go with the gigantea. A slightly less chance of having my regal for dinner.
