Red hermit crab reef safe?

My girlfriend and I bought two big hairy legged red hermit crabs(dont know the name of them) and I forgot to ask if they are reef safe. I will be getting corals soon and I wanted to make sure that they wont eat them. I read a bunch of stuff on the internet trying to find out but like everything else, there are tons of opinions on these and Im not sure if they are refering to scarlet hermits or the hermits I have. Like I said, they are pretty big and have red hairy legs. I believe they are not reef safe but I wanna know if anyone had experiences with them or know anything about them. Any input would be helpful. Thanks.

Ok... thanks... another question, I currently have two 110w VHO super actinics with my regular flourescent bulbs. Together, it gives me 3.33 WPG. Is this enough for corals? I have two 250 MH in the setup also but just did not turn them on yet. I know once I turn them on it will be more than enough for corals but I dont wanna bleach anything. Should I stick with just the VHO's and regular ones I have on right now or would it be better with the MH?

I have a 75g and I just built the canopy for the lights this weekend. The lights are about 10 inches from the surface, maybe a little more. not sure of the dims, but I know it is 48"long, 18 1/2" wide. its a standard 75g.
